Natural cleansers, masks etc

You can use things you have in the fridge or pantry to make basic beauty products. Try some of these.

Brown Bread -Cleanser

Remove crusts from a slice of brown bread and roll it into a ball. Roll the ball over cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. Avoid the eyes. Use a new slice for each area. The bread will pick up dirt, grime and excess oil.

Brown Sugar -Exfoliator

Mix a tablespoon of brown sugar with a tablespoon of olive oil. Gently massage the scrub into your skin in a circular motion. Don't press too hard. Rinse thoroughly after use.

Banana -Hydrating Mask

Combine one ripe mashed banana, a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup and 10 drops of lemon juice. Mix and apply to your
face and leave for 10 minutes and then rinse.

Flour -Dry Shampoo

Keep flour in a salt shaker. Shake on hair and rub in gently, leave for 20 seconds, then fluff and brush out.

Milk Powder -Bath Soak

Sprinkle a handful of milk powder into a warm bath before you hop in to soak. The lactic acid makes your skin lovely and soft. You can use full fat, lite or skimmed powder.

Kathy they sound great. For dry shampoo, I actually use plain talcum powder. What do other visitors use? Let us know.
